STUMP GRINDING and REMOVAL SERVICES:
If you have a stump in the yard or garden that you want removed so that you can plant grass, plants, or other vegetation, we can help with that. Or, if you need a tree stump ground down after a tree removal, we can help with that, too.
Our standard tree stump grinding service includes grinding the stump down approximately 5 to 6 inches below adjacent turf grade (if stump is in yard), backfilling with stump grind debris and raking (leaving a slight hump which allows for settling), and hauling away excess stump grind debris. Of course, we can accommodate your specific needs.

Upon approval of the free written estimate, we will:
1. Schedule the work;
2. Submit a utility locate request;
3. Perform the stump grinding;
4. Haul away all removal debris;
5. Invoice.

Because stump grinding is considered digging, Big Boy Services will submit a utility locate request with Indiana811 at no charge. Note that we are not responsible for damage to private lines not marked by the Customer (see "Utility Lines versus Private Lines" below).

Utility Lines versus Private Lines: Of course consult a utility locate professional with specific questions related to your utility lines and private lines, but utility lines include, but are not limited to, lines like water, gas, power, cable, telephone, and fiber. Generally speaking, lines that run through and/or over a private lot that are the responsibility of the utility companies are lines from the street and/or pole to the meter or utility box on the outside of the residence. One line that most homeowners assumes is a utility line, for the purposes of marking utilities, is the water line to the house. This is NOT the case. The water line from the meter (which is usually out near the street) to the house is considered a private line by utility locate vendors. Other private lines include, but are not limited to, e-fence, 12-2 wire (or similar) that run to yard lights and holiday lights, buried gutter extensions, irrigation lines and heads, and other underground items installed by previous or current homeowners.
