3. Are you insured?

Yes — we carry full liability insurance.

4. What’s the difference between utility lines and private lines when digging or removing shrubs?

Utility lines generally include gas, electric, water, sewer, cable, telephone, and fiber that run from the street or utility pole to the meter or utility box on the outside of a home. These lines are typically the responsibility of the utility company.

Private lines are anything installed beyond that point and are the homeowner’s responsibility.

A commonly misunderstood example is the water line that runs from the water meter to the house — this section is considered a private line, not a utility line.

Other common private lines include:

  • Electrical lines from the house to yard lights or holiday lighting

  • Irrigation systems, including underground lines and sprinkler heads

  • Dog e-fence wiring

  • Buried downspout extensions or drainage systems

  • Any underground items installed by a homeowner that are not maintained by a utility company

Before any shrub removal, stump grinding, brush cutting, or tree removal, we recommend contacting Indiana 811 and identifying any known private lines on your property.

Shrub Removal FAQs

7. Why is stump grinding necessary after shrub or tree removal?

Grinding after shrub removal eliminates trip hazards, prevents regrowth, stops pest activity, and prepares the area for landscaping. Most stumps are ground 6–8 inches below grade.

8. How long does stump grinding take?

Small shrub stumps take just a few minutes, while larger tree stumps may take 20–40 minutes. Cleanup is included unless you request a graded finish.

Note: most shrub root balls are dug and/or cut out.

Brush Cutting FAQs

9. What types of brush can you clear?

We clear tall grass, Honeysuckle, vines, weeds, saplings, briars, thickets, and overgrown fence lines. This service is ideal for property edges, grass lines, ditches, and neglected areas.

10. Do you offer seasonal brush clearing for HOAs?

Yes — we work with HOAs, condo associations, and property managers for recurring brush cutting, annual cleanups, and storm-season maintenance.

Limb Removal & Trimming FAQs

11. What size limbs can you remove?

We remove low to mid-level limbs and branches up to medium-size trees using ground-based equipment. We do not take on large, high-risk rigging or lift-required jobs.

12. Is limb trimming safer for the tree than cutting it down?

Yes. Trimming improves air flow, reduces weight on weak branches, and keeps trees healthy without full removal.

Tree Removal FAQs

13. Do you remove small and medium-size trees?

Yes — we safely remove trees that do not require lifts or advanced rigging. This includes storm-damaged trees, ornamental trees, and many backyard species.

14. Do you haul away all the debris?

Yes. Tree debris, limbs, and trunk sections are hauled away unless you request firewood stacking.
